Meeting called to order by First Vice President Rose Marie Eash at 7:02

Board members present: Bill Eash, Rose Marie Eash, Jeanene Pegg-Hundley, Jeanne Harford, Liz Williams and Linda Cornelius. Dian Deal and Donna Doulton were not present.

Jerry and Nancy Buell just moved to Nixon, Texas from Oregon with their eighteen horses attended as guests. Also, Santiago, Carol and Micah DeLeon from San Antonio were guests. The DeLeons are new Arabian horse owners.

The decision was made to not send AAHA renewal notices by US PO. The notices are being sent by AHA and an EMAIL blast and will be in the ECHO.

Treasurers Report: - Bill Eash

Board voted to approve payment of the ribbons for the January 27th Open show in Seguin.

Show Curtains: Mary Bell presented costs for the material and seamstress to make the curtains for the Rose Palace Ring A. The cost presented was for a total of $2,346.00 not including shipping, boards and wire ties. Rather than wait for exact fees the board voted to approve Mary ordering the materials to eliminate delay and asked her to come back to the board for approval of total cost.

Convention: Margo Shallcross, Jeanne Harford and Bill Eash presented discussion and results of the 2007 AAHA Convention. They agreed to do a report in writing for the club to be either posted on the web site or put in the ECHO.

Trail Ride – no report

Youth Report: - Jeanne Harford reported that the youth will have their annual Christmas Party (Potluck) Saturday December 9th at Lisa Eberhardt’s home.

Playday was very successfully judged by Rene’ Riddle. Deposit of $826.00 was made showing some profit for the youth. Mark Williams, apprentice announcer donated his time to announce the classes.

Black Stallion Literacy Program: Margo Shallcross announced that the Arabian Nights folks will be putting on a show in Arkansas on February 20, February 15th in Waco and February 23 in Ft. Worth.

SASHA: Jeanne made a motion to pay SASHA for $1,350 to cover the cost of the Class A show judge at the March SASHA show. Unanimously approved
