2009 AAHA Annual Meeting Minutes

The 2009 Alamo Arabian Horse Association Annual Meeting was held at the Scenic Loop Café on June, 26 at 7:00pm. The meeting was called to order by Elizabeth Williams. The members were welcomed and then asked to turn in any remaining ballots for the Board of Directors election.

The meeting was then recessed for the counting of the ballots and for our guest speaker. Craig Freels gave a warm welcome and introduction for Olympic Champion Swimmer Josh Davis. Josh Davis gave a very inspirational talk on how to achieve success at any age and ability through commitment, integrity and honesty.

Dinner was served and the award for volunteer of the year was presented by Bill Eash to Chris Williams.

At around 8:00pm the meeting was called back to order and the election winners were announced. Mark Williams then gave a Membership report. There are 12 new members. We now have 26 youth members and 128 adult members for a total of 154 members.

The meeting was then called back into recess for the new board to elect officers. The Board of Directors is as follows:

Membership Director: Mark Williams
Youth Director: Sherri Youngblood
Director: Jeannene Pegg Hundley

The meeting was again called back to order and the officers were announced. The motion to adjourn was made and seconded.

A good time was had by all.
