Association Minutes
Monday March 1, 2010
The members were welcomed and
the meeting was called to order by Rose Marie Eash at 7:20pm at Chester’s
Hamburgers.
The minutes had been
previously approved and Christie Brehm will be sending copies of the previous
months’ minutes to Marilyn Short.
Mark Williams was out, so
Skye Williams reported that the membership currently consisted of 89- 1 year
members, 18- 3 year members, 3 lifetime members and 29 youth members.
Bill Eash gave the Treasurer’s
report and recommended that as we make decisions for the Fiesta Show Trophies,
that “allthingsequine.com” might be an option.
Sherri Youngblood gave the
Youth update. The fundraisers,
will be held at the SASHA, Lonestar and Fiesta
shows. In addition to raising money, through a bake sale donations, there will also be a silent
auction at the Fiesta Show.
Trail Ride update: Linda Cornelius reported that the trail ride
will be held on April 24th at Bandera State Park.
Bill Eash reported on the
Fiesta Show. The Premium book is almost
done. 350 books and 1300 postcards will
be mailed. Christie Brehm will lead the
group to design and put up Center Ring. Jeannene Pegg will acquire the
plants. Several veterinarians will be
contacted to one
to hire one to be on call for the show.
It was decided that the exhibitors party will
be held upstairs at the Rose Palace, above the Café.
A possible clinic will be
held on March 28th. Margo Shallcross will contact Sandy Bently
as a possible clinician.
The board announced that a
donation to the Morris Animal Foundation was made in honor of Chandra Burkhardt.
The club will send a card to
Annette Rhode, due to illness.
Bill Eash, Elizabeth
Williams, Rose Marie Eash, Linda Cornelius and Sherri Youngblood’s terms on the
Board are expiring. Nominations are now
open. Those board members whose terms
are expiring are available to serve on the board again, if nominated.
Meeting adjourned at 8:00
