Alamo Arabian Horse Association Meeting

November 2, 2009

 

The meeting was called to order at 7:05pm at Chester’s Hamburgers, by Rose Marie Eash.  Elizabeth and Christopher Eklund were introduced as new members of the club.  They moved to the San Antonio area from Kentucky.

The October minutes were approved.

Sky Williams gave us the membership report.  We currently have 102, 1 year adult memberships, 193, 3 year memberships, 3 lifetime memberships and 24 youth memberships.

Bill Eash then gave the Treasury Report.  We currently have $5.00 in savings, $13,053.00 in checking and $25,168.00 in a CD at 2.67%.  The youth have $2,898.00 in the bank.

The yearly budget was presented by Bill Eash and then approved by the board.

Fiesta Show:  Jane Ayers has been hired as the Dressage Judge.  Dorothy Trapp has been hired as the Steward.  A proposal was made to allow for an Open Dressage Show at the Fiesta Show.  This motion was approved. 

Youth:  New business; Silent Auction items are needed and they do not have to be horse related.  Old business; The Christmas parade/ trail ride may be held at either Silvio Moraes barn or at Hollywood Park.  The possible date is Saturday, December 19th, from 2:00 to 4:00.  The need for insurance will be looked into.  The youth club is working on their By-laws. 

The club continues to plan for a Spring Trail Ride in Bandera.

Old Business:  The Volunteer Party will be held this weekend at Scenic Loop Café at 6:30pm.

New Business: None

Margo Shallcross, Bill Eash and Liz Williams presented the 18 new resolutions to be voted on at Convention.

At 8:10 the meeting was adjourned.
