ALAMO ARABIAN HORSE ASSOCIATION MEETING
MINUTES
TUESDAY, SEPT. 8, 2009
The meeting was held at
Chester’s Hamburgers and was called to order at 7:00pm by Rose Marie Eash. The members were greeted and then Dr. David
Dutton of Hill Country Equine gave an informative presentation on Focused
Shockwave Therapy.
The minutes of the last
meeting were presented by Christie Brehm and then approved.
Mark Williams reported that our membership
number remained at 150.
Bill Eash was out of town,
but will provide a Treasurer’s report at the next meeting.
Rachel Youngblood provided us
with a Youth Club Report, as Sherri Youngblood was unable to attend. The Youth
Club Officers had been elected, but would let us know which person would be
serving in each position at our next meeting.
They had also discussed a possible clinic with Gwen Nix in January.
Old Business:
Due to a conflict, Terry
Hatfield would be unable to judge our open show, but Buck Grass had agreed to
fill the spot as judge for the show.It will be held
on Oct. 3, 2009 at the Rose Palace.
A venue for our volunteer
party was discussed and several board members would be gathering information
for the next meeting.
Chelsey Logsdon was announced as the winner of the Youth
Scholarship Award.
New Business:
A Trail Ride was discussed
with the possibility of caroling on horseback.
The board was open to suggestions.
Elizabeth Williams announced
that there are new pictures on the AAHA website from the annual meeting and it
was assumed that our application for the Club Excellence Award was accepted.
The meeting was adjourned at
8:00pm
